In accordance with the principles of accessibility and universal designed set down in Royal Decree 1494/2007, of 12 November, approving the Regulation on the basic requisites for access of the disabled to technologies, goods and services related to the information society and social communication means, the Ministry of Economy and Finance is striving to ensure that the public as a whole, particularly those with some kind of disability and the elderly, dealing with the Department through its Internet Portal (www.meh.es) can access online information and services under the same conditions, regardless of their personal circumstances, resources or know-how.
For this purpose the pages of the Ministry's Portal comply with priorities 1 and 2 of the UNE 139803:2004 standard and complies to level Double-A of the Directives on Accessibility for Web Content 1.0 of the W3C, pursuant to the provisions of Royal Decree 1494/2007.
The accessibility level of this portal was last reviewed in July 2010.
Given the vast number of final pdf documents published on the portal, it has been impossible to fully adapt to the accessibility guidelines in the case of those published before 31 December 2008 (in some cases these are documents of great historical value). This documentary collection is being worked on continuously to make it fully accessible.
